SFV OG
THC: 9.5-19% SFV OG—or San Fernando Valley OG—was originally a phenotype of OG Kush. A breeder named Swerve from Cali Connection Farms in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley crossed it with an Afghani variety from Homegrown Fantaseeds. The resulting strain
took its initials from the parent strain, as well as the shortened name of the seed bank’s location.
Breeders created this strain after selecting OG Kush for its earthy, lemony scent and sedative properties, a result of its high levels of myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene.
The strain took 3rd place in the Indica category at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2012 and 1st place at the Denver Cannabis Cup in the same year.
